SMILE ^_^

This are my favorite lyrics enjoy!

SMILE
by Nat King Cole

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness

Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

That's the time you must keep on trying

Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Bilingual Education

I remember not that long ago at work a patient was trying to speak English to me. I could tell she was maybe Hispanic, and since I saw her struggling with her English I told her I speak Spanish too, she was offended, I did not mean to offend her, she gave me a dirty look and kept speaking to me in English she said that she was in America and that she had to speak English I told her that I admired her for learning the language but as of me I like to speak Spanish with people that speak the language. She said that her kids were learning pure English that Spanish was not spoken in her house I asked why? She said that her and her husband had sacrificed themselves to give their children a better life and had left their old lifestyle behind and it was staying in that country. I wanted to tell her how much I disagreed with her but I kept my mouth shut.
I think that Bilingual education should be encouraged. Being bilingual, trilingual, or multilingual gives people better opportunities to succeed in life. When applying for a job, especially here in southern California, Spanish is a plus! A person will get paid more if bilingual.
So why isn’t it being encouraged in school? Why is it being excluded? According to Rosalie Pedalino Porter bilingual education programs are a way of discriminating children that have learned English as a second language; I disagree with this lady more.
In my opinion more than one language should be taught in elementary school. Children are sponges at that young age and will absorb anything, the more knowledge the better.
When I have children I will teach them my culture and my primary language and I will encourage them to speak it because in the long run I know this will benefit them.

Medina Family

Christina Castro, a beautiful 19 year old young lady, met Carlos Medina, handsome 22 year old gentlemen, in 1980; they dated for a year or so, when Carlos realized that he wanted to spend the ret of his life with Christina. He proposed to her, on a Saturday night after a romantic dinner, and of course she said yes. They got married February 13, 1982. The couple had a beautiful religious ceremony, and a gorgeous reception (what a can tell by the pictures). For their honeymoon they went to a beach resort in Vallarta, Mexico.
A year later I was born. I asked my mom once, why they had named me Ana Cristina, she said that her and my dad had come up with the name, one night while sitting outside her house, they were still dating I thought this was so romantic.
Exactly, and when I say exactly I mean the same exact day, but three years later my sister Elizabeth was born (yes we share the same birthday), because of this I never made it to my 3rd birthday party. I was ecstatic when I saw my new sister, I was no longer the baby, I was now Elizabeth’s big sister. My mom says I didn’t like my sister’s name so I changed it to Lili, and to this day we call her Lili. My sister was a handful, compared to me, she was wild, and a total brat and it only got worse when my baby sister, Gaby, was born. Lili was the baby for many years and when she discovered she was no longer going to be the baby, she went nuts, I remember she once told me “help me put her in the garbage can, I want to throw her away” at that time I couldn’t believe what she wanted to do, now I know that my sister was being a 5 year old jealous little girl.
Growing up with two sisters was fun we had tons of Barbie’s, and dolls, and I always had someone to play with. We would also fight a lot especially me and Lili because she would always be picking on poor little Gaby, and I would always be defending my baby sister. But as we grew older things changed we wouldn’t argue or fight as much. My sisters didn’t annoy me anymore, and we started getting along better. We started telling each other that we loved each other. We became best friends!
I live thousands of miles away from them, Lili is married and has a beautiful little brat of her own, and Gaby is going to Med school. We might not be under the same roof anymore but we are closer than ever.
I thank my parents for giving me two beautiful, intelligent sisters.I love them with all my heart and all my soul!!!
